Não apetece...

S. Miguel, Agosto 2009


As férias estão a acabar. As sinapses foram-se entretanto desligando com o marulhar das ondas, uma a uma, tais luzes das gambiarras manhosas de Natal compradas nas lojas dos chineses. A rede neuronal ficou reduzida ao básico (de modo a assegurar somente os sistemas mínimos de sobrevivência...).

Não apetece fazer nada! Nem arrumar as tralhas das férias, nem organizar os materiais para o novo ano, nem sequer começar a publicar no blog! (Acho que o Adão e a Eva deviam ser assim um bocado para o "distraído" quando se passeavam lá pelo paraíso!).

Toda a gente conhece aquela velha história ... ai, não sei quê, que a gente depois das férias vem com mais energia para trabalhar... para começar de novo... Tretas!

Não apetece fazer nada. Deixem-nos descansar!

Acerca das minhas férias? Tenham paciência, dá muito trabalho...

Férias: um resumo...

Prontos, boltei!
E vou aqui deixar um resumo das minhas férias:
- Vi uma peça de teatro com o Paulo Pires: O Deus da Matança, de Yasmine Reza, no Teatro Aberto.
- Vi outra peça de teatro: A Caravana, no Teatro Meridional (sentado a dois lugares da Ana Zanatti!!!!), ali para os lados do Poço do Bispo.
- Fui à Praia da Rainha, na Costa da Caparica (boas ondas pró bodyboard);
- Fiz (e comi) uma peixeirada (12 sardinhas, 4 carapaus médios e duas douradas) na Praia do Castelo (ainda na Costa) + batata a murro + salada com rúcula + duas garrafas de Muralhas + dois cigarros;
- Comi caracóis e bebi minis no Lavradio - grande petisqueira, a do Caracol do Lima
- Fui visitar o Castelo de Palmela;
- Fomos ao Badoca Park - uma desilusão, longe e caro comó raio!
- Fui cinco vezes a Espanha (Ayamonte, Cartaya, Sevilha...)
- Fui comer uma alheta de corvina ao restaurante mais caro de Santa Luzia (oferecida por um amigo)
- Fomos visitar Alcoutim (piscina do albergue de juventude) com vista para San Lúcar...
- Fomos à Ilha Mágica (uma tradição)
- Fomos ao parque aquático Aquapolis (outra tradição)
- Fomos dançar danças latinas ao BBB em Tavira
- Fomos ver o Up a Tavira
- Fomos comprar jogos para a Nintendo a Tavira
- Comprámos camisolas próprias para o bodyboard
- Fomos ao bar flamenco de Ayamonte (muito divertido)
- Participámos num passeio e seguinte almoçarada de ciclistas em Castro Marim;
- Comemos duas vezes no Sem Espinhas - na praia da Retur (caro, mas com uma localização invejável e um serviço esforçado)
- Fomos ao sapal de Castro Marim (outra tradição) - mas é melhor com o Oscar que sabe tudo sobre as espécies autóctones.
- Fomos ao mercado do peixe e das hortaliças uma dúzia de vezes;
- Fizemos um raid ciclista até à Punta del Mural
- Com outras duas famelgas amigas, fizemos uma jantarada no Chiringuito em Ayamonte e fomos atacados por 500.000 melgas (tempo de recuperação: 4 dias);
- Fomos ao Manta Beach (barato, mas feio) ver um grupo de música cubana e lá estava a Maya, linda Maya!
- Fomos convidados para o aniversário do meu amigo Miguel - o meu alentejano favorito e que depois apanhou a gripe A.
- Oferecemos quatro jantares em casa (dois de fígado de cebolada e dois de quiches);
- Comemos conquilhas até fartar;
- Recebemos visitas de familiares por três vezes;
- Fomos 21 dias à praia;
- Fizemos bodyboard, natação e mergulho;
- Demos um longo passeio de gaivota no mar;
- Comemos cerca de 40 bolas de berlim;
- Fizemos 14 castelos e outras construções de vulto na areia;
- Fizemos provas de atletismo e de beach tennis: algumas terminaram num amuo!
- Joguei ténis e perdi;
- Joguei quatro partidas de golfe e perdi todas (Castro Marim e Quinta do Vale);
- Fomos oito vezes aos insufláveis;
- Comprei um livro de Obama: A Minha Herança
- Li um livro: Sem sangue
- Reli outro: Pela Estrada Fora, de Jack Kerouac
- Vi três filmes: A Praia, com Di Caprio, Lua de Mel, Lua de Fel, de Polanski e Mar Adentro de Aménabar (só este último é verdadeiramente interessante)
- Vi os Mundiais de Atletismo de Berlim pela tele
- Fizemos colares e pulseiras para vender na praia (nunca chegámos a facturar);
- Jantámos um vez na Casa Azul, em Cacela Velha, na açoteia, com velhos amigos
- Fomos à discoteca Lollipop na Praia Verde, onde me perguntaram pela primeira vez se eu estava na guest-list. Quem, eu? Numa lista?
- Aborreci-me uma vez com os miúdos;
- Apanhámos 38 graus às sete da tarde;
- Encomendámos comida indiana uma vez (bom restaurante em S. Bartolomeu)
- Fomos à pracinha em Vila Real, bebemos café no Café Puro e comemos docinhos da Ibérica.
- Com mais 4 amigos, jantámos uma vez no Zé da Serra e comemos passarinhos e outras iguarias (uns vizinhos comensais alentejanos ofereceram-nos as sobremesas das Maltesinhas, de Beja, - das melhores do país).
- Fomos ao Tennis Master Champions em Vale de Lobo e vimos o Stefan Edberg, o Nuno Marques, o Muster, o Leconte, etc. a todos pedimos autógrafos a que mais nada ligámos...
- Disse ao Edberg que ainda me lembrava das finais épicas em Wimbledon, contra o Becker e ele sempre modesto: oh, really, that´s nice, quite a memory, thank you!
- Revi por acaso um colega de Faculdade que não via há quase 30 anos: o Zé Maria Burnay! E derretemos logo ali umas cervejas à conversa!
- Um amigo meu convidou-me para uma sardinhada onde comi o peixe mais fresco da minha vida;
- Fizemos mais amigos: o Nuno Vicente, a Sofia, o António e o Manuel (são alentejanos, de Évora)
- Descobri três grandes sobremesas no Mini-Preço (padaria com produção própria): pão-de-ló, semi-frio de morango e brigadeiro.
- Fizemos dois piqueniques junto à praia de Montegordo;
- Dei um passeio a cavalo de três horas, com paragem no parque de meredas em Montegordo;
- Fomos jantar a Cartaya (outra tradição)
- Fizemos um cross de meia hora e quatro quilómetro pela mata, com mergulho final na praia dos Três Pauzinhos, pelas nove e meia da noite.
- Visitámos uns amigos alentejanos em Santa Rita (grande casa, com piscina e pomar)
- Fomos aos dias medievais de Castro Marim comprar espadas, vestimentas e outras tralhas; ofereceram-nos as bebidas no bar Campesino, dentro do castelo, revi um primo meu.
- Bebi uma dezena de Quinta de Gomariz, branco e rosé, bem fresquinhas, todas;
- Fumei cerca de 40 cigarros e mamei para cima de cem cervejas, todas fresquinhas.
- Desisti a meio da competição de whisky com os alentejanos
- Fui convidado para mais dois jantares nas Aroucas (Castro Marim)
- Fiz dois serões muito interessantes à conversa com dois dos meus amigos mais antigos;
- Ouvimos velhos clássicos de jazz escolhidos pelo José Duarte;
- E mais meia dúzia de coisas.
- Gastámos mais de quatro mil Euros (nem sei como!)
- E agora voltei com aquela leve nostalgia do dolce fare niente...

Ao passarmos em Ponte de Lima, há dias, deparámo-nos com um fotógrafo à "La Minute". Lá estava ele, junto a um chafariz, com o seu caixote apoiado num velho tripé e com o cavalinho-de-pau para sentar as crianças e fotografá-las não sem antes dizer: "Olhó passarinho!". É claro que entabulámos conversa com o senhor, um velho resistente que por sinal era bom de conversa. Mostrou-nos com grande orgulho o seu caixote equipado com lentes Zeiss e explicou os procedimentos técnicos necessários à produção das fotografias. Estes magníficos caixotes não só fotografam como são também um pequeno laboratório ambulante onde se revelam e ampliam as fotografias. Fenomenal!
Aproveitou ainda a oportunidade para nos contar uma deliciosa história que se tinha passado com ele momentos antes do nosso encontro: " Chegou-me aqui uma senhora com um menino preto e pediu-me para lhe tirar uma fotografia. Depois de lha entregar a senhora começou a reclamar que a sua cara estava muito escura, que a da menina que eu tinha exposta tinha ficado melhor... Eu, que nem sou racista, respondi-lhe que o menino era mais moreno, não podia ficar igual... mas a senhora insistia, insistia, e às tantas rasguei a fotografia e devolvi-lhe o dinheiro! Isto há cada uma!..."

Evidentemente não poderíamos perder a oportunidade de assinalar este momento com uma ... fotografia! E lá fomos nós sentar-nos no chafariz e posar para o artista!...

Acabei de ler um livro absolutamente extraordinário que só agora descobri, apesar de já ter sido publicado em 1964 (um ano fantástico devo dizer!) Chama-se Herzog é de Saul Bellow, escritor norte-americano, de origem judaica, prémio Nobel de Literatura em 1976, falecido em 2005. É um dos livros da colecção “Biblioteca Sábado” da revista com o mesmo nome e que me custaram apenas 1 Euro cada um (mais a respectiva revista, claro está). Aconselho vivamente, principalmente a quem tem alguma apetência por temas mais ou menos filosóficos. O personagem principal, Herzog, professor de Filosofia, escreve obsessivamente cartas, uma das quais não resisto a partilhar com vocês e a transcrevê-la aqui. Peço desculpa pelo texto se calhar, demasiado longo para ser publicado no blog mas em tempo de férias uma leitura deste calibre faz sempre bem à mente e ao espírito. E vale a pena!

"Caro Herr Nietzsche – Excelentíssimo senhor. Poderei fazer-lhe uma pergunta cá de baixo? Refere-se ao poder espírito Dionisíaco de suportar a visão do Terrível, do Problemático, de se permitir a luxúria da Destruição, de testemunhar a Decomposição, a Hediondez, o Mal. Tudo isto o espírito Dionisíaco o pode fazer porque aufere da capacidade de restabelecimento da própria Natureza. Algumas destas expressões, permita-me que lho diga, têm uma aura muito germânica. Uma frase como a “luxúria da Destruição” é francamente wagneriana, e eu bem sei por que razão veio a desprezar toda essa idiotice e bombásticos doentios de Wagner. Actualmente, já assistimos a destruições suficientes para pôr amplamente à prova o poder do espírito Dionisíaco, e onde estão os heróis que disso se refizeram? Estou só com a Natureza (ela própria) nos Berkshires, e é esta a minha oportunidade de compreender. Estou deitado numa rede, com o queixo sobre o peito, de dedos entrelaçados, com o espírito atolado em pensamentos, agitado, sim, mas também alegre, e sei que valoriza a alegria – a autêntica alegria, não o aparente optimismo dos epicuristas, nem a flutuabilidade estratégica dos desesperados. Sei igualmente que considera que a dor profunda enobrece, a dor que arde lentamente, como madeira verde, e nisso concordo consigo, em parte. Mas para essa educação superior é necessária a sobrevivência. É preciso resistir à dor. Herzog! Tens de pôr cobro a esta tendência para polémica e conflito com os grandes homens. Não, na verdade, Herr Nietzsche, tenho por si grande admiração. Simpatia. Deseja capacitar-nos para vivermos com o vácuo. Não nos iludindo com as boas intenções, a confiança, com considerações humanas, vulgares e medianas, mas indagando como nunca se indagou, incansavelmente, com férrea determinação, no mal, através do mal, para além do mal, não aceitando qualquer abjecto conforto. As perguntas mais absolutas, mais pertinazes. Rejeitando a humanidade tal como ela é, essa multidão vulgar, prática, salteadora, fedorenta, obscurecida, estúpida, não apenas a multidão dos trabalhadores, mas essa multidão “educada”, ainda pior, com os seus livros e concertos e conferências, o seu liberalismo e os seus “amores” e “paixões” românticos e teatrais – tudo isso merece morrer, e morrerá. Está bem. No entanto, os seus extremistas têm de sobreviver. Sem sobrevivência, não há Amor Fati. Os seus imoralistas também comem carne. Andam de autocarro. Mas são os viajantes que pior se dão com os autocarros. A humanidade vive principalmente de ideias pervertidas. Pervertidas, as suas ideias não são melhores que as do Cristianismo que condena. Qualquer filósofo que deseja manter-se em contacto com a humanidade deveria previamente perverter o seu próprio sistema para ver como será encarado algumas décadas após a adopção. Deaf Sentence - "A vida em surdina" (Lodge, David)


Tive este livro guardado desde Maio à espera da altura certa para o desfrutar. Sou um amante incondicional da obra de Lodge e este Deaf Sentence é – de facto – magistral.
Divertido e comovente… Um prazer do início ao fim: Lodge está cada vez mais arrojado e mais profundo.

Sinopse
"Quando decide pedir a reforma antecipada, o professor universitário Desmond Bates nunca pensou vir a sentir saudades da azáfama das aulas. A verdade é que a monotonia do dia-a-dia não o satisfaz. Para tal, contribui também o facto de a carreira da sua mulher, Winifred, ir de vento em popa, reduzindo o papel de Desmond ao de mero acompanhante e dono de casa. Mas o que o aborrece verdadeiramente é a sua crescente perda de audição, fonte constante de atrito doméstico e constrangimento social. Desmond apercebe-se de que, na imaginação das pessoas, a surdez é cómica, enquanto a cegueira é trágica, mas para o surdo é tudo menos uma brincadeira. Contudo, vai ser a sua surdez que o levará a envolver-se, inadvertidamente, com uma jovem cujo comportamento imprevisível e irresponsável ameaça desestabilizar por completo a sua vida."

David Lodge é, sem dúvida, um dos escritores da minha vida.
